Bringing Health Initiatives into the Tutsor Commune
EDUCATION
Teaching English, Science and Art
We teach English, science and art for at least one hour every day with the kids at Green Umbrella. Their exposure to native English speakers is invaluable in their education, given that English is an important skill in labor in Cambodia.
HYGIENE EDUCATION
Basic Health Education
We work with Green Umbrella to provide education to all of their students about eyes, ears and teeth hygiene, as those services are not otherwise provided within the community
WASTE MANAGEMENT
Tackling the Issue
Cambodia's waste management education and infrastructure are not highly developed. We hope to help educate the Tutsor community about how to responsibly dispose of waste. We also work to create non-existent infrastructure to provide a sustainable way to get rid of waste on a community-level.
YOUTH PROGRAM
Engaging Youth in the Community
One aim of the GHA-Green Umbrella partnership is to engage young people in the improvement of their own community. We provide mentoring and consulting advice to groups of young people in Tutsor in creating their own projects for community development.

We believe in measuring community need as an important step in the process of providing services to a community, rather than leading what we blindly believe to be their greatest concerns.
